Cannon and Castle Military Honor Society

Cannon and Castle is a military honor society founded at Yale University in 1929. Elected members include cadets and midshipmen from all three Reserve Officer Training Corps branches (Army, Air Force, Navy), active-duty servicemembers, veterans and faculty of the Yale Community.
 
New members are elected every spring by nomination by the Commanding Officers and Board of Regents. Elected ROTC cadets and midshipmen are generally top of their class in merit standing and possess excellent GPAs in their military science courses.
 
Members are given the privilege of wearing a C&C ribbon for uniform wear as well as a certificate of election. Since its creation, C&C has hosted occasional lectures regarding civil-military relations, American foreign policy and grand strategy from guest lecturers.

David L. Boren ‘63 - Three-term U.S. Senator, Governor of Oklahoma and former President of the University of Oklahoma, former Rhodes Scholar.
