Yale ROTC President’s Review 2018

Yale’s ROTC Air Force cadets and Navy midshipmen paraded in full dress uniform at the annual President’s Review April 5 in the John Lee Ampitheater at the Payne Whitney Gymnasium. Yale President Peter Salovey  served as the “reviewing officer” at the event, inspecting the officers-in-training as a commanding officer would do in a traditional military review.

Each year, the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) units at Yale showcase the skills they’ve learned throughout the year, award prizes to exceptional students, and honor the graduating seniors. Yale’s Naval ROTC and Air Force ROTC includes cadets from nearby universities. Speakers at this year’s event were Captain Wayne G. Grasdock, commanding officer of the university’s Naval ROTC program,  Salovey and University Chaplin Sharon Kugler, who offered the invocation and benediction.
